Greece is known for its beautiful weather and destination islands. Some of the most visited and popular islands are Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete. Santorini is much more relaxing in comparison to Mykonos, whereas they are famous for their beach clubs/parties and nightlife. Santorini is much more romantic and better suited for a honeymoon or couples vacation. Crete is the largest greek island with mild weather, beautiful beaches, great food, ancient sites, and nightlife.

Mykonos has beautiful views from anywhere on the island. These windmills called “Kato mili” sit on a hill on the edge of the main town overlooking the beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea, the mountains, and the architecture down below.

Santorini is much more relaxed in comparison to Mykonos, but still has beautiful views. It is one of the ultimate getaway destinations. The small island has breathtaking views with many romantic settings and plenty of things to enjoy. The beauty of the island is incomparable to any others in the world.

Crete is the largest island with plenty of things to do. Crete is very easily accessible with so much to offer visitors such as incredible wine, stunning sunsets, beaches, hiking spots, markets, and beautiful villages.

#3: Rugged mountains and pristine beaches

Not only is Greece known worldwide for its stunning and pristine beaches, but Greece also has rugged mountains and landscapes. Many places with ruins up in the mountains have beautiful trees, hiking trails, and rocks.
